In the context of this thread, and the context of the actual article, yes "valuable" in the economic sense.

Of course there are other benefits to playing music (it's fun!) But the post was about doing it for money.


Money is pretty much an abstract way to represent value though.


Notably, it's a very imperfect abstraction.
