I think the issue is/was that the profiler in chrome never ends.

You have to manually stop it before it collects too much data.

I collected about 400s of data and stopped it.

It's been stuck on this page for 18hours now. No increased CPU usage (more than the page spinning at least) and no crazy memory consumption.
