Well, the US does have this whole "freedom" thing. Which said soldiers presumably fight for companies like Anthropic to have. Are you seriously saying the US government should be able to compel individual companies to make things?

Well, the US has a law called the Defense Production Act which, when invoked, compels companies to produce whatever Uncle Sam wants.

I am not saying it should be able, it already is.
